High Current Metering System
The LKP is a high-accuracy closed-loop Hall effect current measurement system designed to handle various demanding industrial applications, including aluminum, chlorine, copper, manganese, titanium, zinc, electroplating, and coating operations. This reliable, closed-loop Hall effect system can precisely measure unidirectional DC bus currents from 12,000 up to 60,000 amperes.

The LKP system uses a closed-loop Hall effect to accurately measure DC bus currents. Magnetic sensors detect the difference between the bus field and a feedback field, generating a voltage output. This output is amplified and fed back into the magnetic circuit as a current, which produces the feedback signal. The system comprises multiple magnetic sensors and feedback coils, each channel independently responding to null the bus field in its section. All channel currents are then summed up to produce the output current, which is proportional to the bus current. This current output is used to generate voltages for various measurements and outputs.
