The LKCO current sensor leverages the Faraday effect, a principle used in navigation systems for aircraft and submarines. Light is split into two circularly polarized waves and travels through the fiber. The magnetic field induces a phase shift in these waves, which is detected and measured. The sensor’s closed-loop system automatically compensates for any changes caused by temperature variations, maintaining consistent performance.
